The Falcons vs. Jets betting line had Atlanta as a -6.5 favorite at home.

Falcons-Jets Atlanta -6

Both teams have stumbled a bit in recent weeks though a Jets victory here could put a smile on many future bet holders who have this team winning OVER 3.5 regular season games in 2017

The Falcons have scored only seven points in the last six quarters after a fast start out of the gate. The offense is averaging 21.3 points per game under new offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian.

"We can't worry about last year," Matt Ryan said earlier this week. "I know that constantly gets brought up, but as players we are not thinking about last year. We are not playing good enough as a unit in 2017.

"Frankly, I don't really care to go back to 2016. It's not useful for us."

The Jets lead the league with 546 penalty yards, including a whopping 12 for 124 yards against the Dolphins, while the Falcons are last in the league with three takeaways (one interception and two fumble recoveries).

Despite being a pleasant surprise thus far, New York still ranks among the bottom five teams in the NFL Betting Ratings.  Nevertheless, the line should only be Atlanta -4.5 or -5 here.  Books actually did open at -4 with action driven all the way up to -6.5.

The Falcons are 4-11 Against The Spread in their last 15 games following a Straight Up loss. The Jets are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 home games.
