Chelsea Odds to Win the 2011

Chelsea odds to win the 2011 – 2012 Premier League were set at 11/4 at a number of British online bookmakers.  Quite a few were offering odds of 5/2.  We hate to say it but William Hill was offering some of the worst odds on Chelsea at 9/4.  Our other sponsor, 888Sport.com did have Chelsea at 11/4 odds.  These odds are subject to change and Gambling911.com encourages punters to lock them in as early as possible.

Manchester United was the 7/4 favorite.  Man City came in with 3/1 odds.  Liverpool was at 11/1 and Arsenal 15/2.

André Villas-Boas was set to take over as Manager of Chelsea.  He previously worked as an assistant under Mourinho at Chelsea with the responsibility for compiling "incredibly detailed scouting dossiers, both in video and in print".

A Chelsea spokesman said on Monday: "We hope to be able to make an announcement regarding the new manager in the next few days or so, but until then we will not be commenting further on the speculation surrounding that appointment."

His former club, Porto, has already announced Villas-Boas decision to leave.

"Porto can inform the stock market that FC Porto has received notification from its coach André Villas-Boas, of the intention to resign with immediate effect. As such his employment contract shall be considered rescinded upon deposit of the stipulated amount."
