Arsenal v Udinese Champions League Betting Odds

Arsenal v Udinese Champions League betting odds were listed as follows for their 16 August match:

Arsenal – 8/15

Draw – 3/1

Udinese – 11/2

120x60 £

Arsenal will be without suspended duo Samir Nasri and Robin van Persie for the Champions League play-off first leg against Italian side Udinese.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger, who will also serve a one-game touchline ban, said: "I just expect my team to have a good game on Tuesday and that will encourage their belief and strengthen their belief.

"I understand everybody's worry, but I believe as well a club is a united front. Our players need the support from our fans.

"It is an important period for this club, but I am confident we will get over it in a very successful way. We need to remain united and not let the media manipulate our fans in a way they should not."

Samir Handanovic Udinese goalkeeper said:  "We know Arsenal is a strong team, they usually get eliminated only by Barcelona, but Arsenal are not only Fabregas, Nasri and Van Persie. We are different than one year ago too".

The last time Arsenal played in the Champions League preliminary rounds was in the 2009-10 season, when they defeated Celtic 5-1 on aggregate, only for their campaign to be halted with a quarter-final defeat at the hands of Barcelona.

This is the second time Udinese have reached the qualifying rounds of the Champions League in their history.
