2014, 2015 NFL Betting Odds for the Pittsburgh Steelers

2014, 2015 NFL betting odds for the Pittsburgh Steelers had this team as a -140 favorite to win at least 9 regular season games at BetDSI.com.

The oddsmakers at least believe this Steelers team will be back on track in 2014 after a subpar season in 2013.

Their odds of winning the Super Bowl were set at 37-1.

BetDSI.com offered up its own prediction for the Steelers chances in 2014-2015.  Be sure to scroll down to check out the full video preview below.

2014 Pittsburgh Steelers Offense: The Pittsburgh Steelers offense revolves around quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. Big Ben had an excellent season a year ago as he threw for 4,261 yards and 28 touchdowns but the team still didn’t make the playoffs. Roethlisberger lost one of this top targets in wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders who is now in Denver. He still has a good one though in Antonio Brown who caught 110 balls last year for 1,499 yards. The team is hoping that Martavis Bryant or Markus Wheaton will step up.

There is good news in the backfield as Le’Veon Bell had a very good rookie season, rushing for 860 yards and there is more good news as the team will have a healthy tight end in Heath Miller. Last season was a struggle for Miller as he was coming off a torn ACL. The team should also benefit this year with a healthy Maurkice Pouncey at center. He barely played a year ago and he will make a huge difference on the offensive line.

2014 Pittsburgh Steelers Defense: The Steelers did not perform well on defense last season as they gave up more than 23 points per game. The team simply couldn’t stop the run and they rarely pressured the opposing quarterback. The team went out and made some major changes as they took linebacker Ryan Shazier from Ohio State with their first pick in the NFL Draft and they took Stephon Tuitt from Notre Dame with their second pick. The team also added Michael Mitchell in free agency. The team still has some issues in the secondary as Ike Taylor is not a good corner and Troy Polamalu has already seen his best days.

The Steelers will only play in six games facing a team that made the playoffs last season.  Their schedule overall is among the softest in the league despite playing in what is expected to be a very tight division.
