2012 Super Bowl Line Drops to -2.5 at BetOnline.com

If only for a moment, the 2012 Super Bowl line has fallen a half point to -2.5 in favor of the Patriots at BetOnline.com.  Want to lock this line in, you’ll need to do it fast here as nearly all the online sportsbooks and half the Vegas bookmaker have New England as a -3 point favorite.

Both the Mirage and The Orleans casinos in Las Vegas featured a line of -2.5.

Granted, as of this writing January 31, BetOnline.com has held the line at -2.5 since the evening of the 23rd.  This is going against the industry trend, at least online.

Legends.com, a popular online sportsbook that operates just up the road from BetOnline in beautiful Panama City, Panama, moved off the -3 only once over the past two weeks, the afternoon of the 25th right up to the night of the 27th

Bookmaker.eu, which has been in business since 1986 and pretty much releases the first line on NFL games, has not moved off the number 3 since the Super Bowl matchup was determined.  This is important in light of the fact that Bookmaker gets a ton of “sharp” action.

Obviously those looking to bet the Pats will want to do so at BetOnline.com.  Those looking to back the Giants probably won’t see a line above -3.5.  Legends or Bookmaker is your best bet for getting down on New York.  A few books opened at -3.5 and didn’t stay there for long.

If any book happens to move up to +3.5 Giants, jump on the opportunity to bet both sides of this Super Bowl as the Patriots last Super Bowl appearances of this past decade have all ended in 3 point win margins.
