Last month's "Top Chef" rumor was that the sixth season would be shooting in Las Vegas.
However, there is now news that production is getting underway in Seattle, a city famous for it's rain and grunge music scene.
This morning, last season's British judge and barb-slinger Toby Young announced on his official Twitter that he had begun filming the next installment of the cooking competition show in Seattle.
Losing the notoriety of Top Chef as a filming location, will be yet another blow to Sin City. Las Vegas has lost over 340 scheduled events in the last 90 days.
That translates to about 111-thousand fewer visitors; 230 thousand room nights lost; and 131 million dollars in non-gaming revenues lost.
The downturn is linked to the nation's economy and congressional rhetoric about spending money on meetings in Las Vegas.
