Royal Baby Name Betting: George, James, Alexander Among Favorites
Thank you Prince William and Kate for helping the online bookmakers fill a void during what is typically a slow betting season as hundreds of thousands of bets are being taken on the Royal baby and what his name might be.
With so many people believing the Royal couple would give birth to a baby girl, bookies have already made out big with the early public favorite “Alexandra” deemed a loss.
Ladbrokes.com confirmed taking upwards of 50,000 bets on the Royal baby and that number is most certainly climbing. That British bookmaker is calling this one of the biggest nonsporting events in their history.
The Royal couple was expected to announce the name of their newborn on Tuesday, however, past Royal births have resulted in days long delays in naming the child. As such, bookmakers could theoretically continue taking wagers throughout the week.
