American Idol Betting Odds

It's that time of year.  American Idol betting will be in full swing and, as always, Gambling911.com will be covering the American Idol betting season through to the final in May.

Already, the Canadian-based online gambling website, Sportsinteraction.com, has posted American Idol 2009 betting odds on all the remaining Idols.

Favored to win is Danny Gokey.  The 28-year old Milwaukee, Wisconsin singer and church music director had early odds of +300 for a payout potential of $300 on every $100 bet or $30 on every $10 bet at Sportsinteraction.comLike many of the American Idol contestants from years past, Gokey has a sad story coming into the show.  His wife passed away following heart complications just four weeks prior to his auditioning for the show.  She had encouraged Danny to take part in the American Idol competition.

Matt Giraud is another of American Idol contestants with single digit odds (+500 pays $500 for every $100 bet).  The 23-year old pianist from Kalamazoo, Michigan, auditioned in Louisville, Kentucky.  His group version of "I Want You Back" and "Georgia on My Mind" made him an instant judge favorite.

Adam Lambert also had +500 odds for a future payout potential of $500 on every $100 bet.  This 27-year old from Los Angeles won over judges with his version of "Some Kind of Wonderful" and "Believe".

Alexis Grace is the only female Idol contestant with single digit odds.  At +750 Grace could pay out $750 for every $100 bet if she were to go on to become the next American Idol in 2009. Gambling911.com is the recognized source for American Idol betting.  Be sure to bookmark the website and check our American Idol Betting section daily here.

How to read odds:  When you see a +300, this means you would bet $100 to win $300; +400 means you would bet $100 to win $400 and so on.  +300 also means you can bet $10 to win $30; +400 means you can bet $10 to win $40, and so on. The larger the number, the longer the odds of an American Idol contestant winning, but also the payout potential is larger.  For example:  When you see +2000, the payout would be $2000 for every $100 bet.
