Atlantic City Scores Gets Over 1000 Job Applicants Following Casino Closures

Four casinos have either shut down or are in the process of shutting down in Atlantic City but at least one local business has scored big from these sudden closures.

SCORES Atlantic City, the legendary gentleman’s club, has realized a 40% increase in job inquiries over the past two weeks.

Nearly any position you can think of has witnessed a jump in applications  including security, hostesses, bartenders, barbacks, entertainers, and DJs.

“We’ve seen over a 1,000 applicants in the last two weeks alone,” says Mark  Yackow, General Manager of SCORES Atlantic City, in an interview with Gambling911.com. “Atlantic City residents need jobs now more than ever and SCORES is a great place to work, we have the best  entertainment, a wonderful management staff and offer competitive pay. Atlantic  City should be known as a fun and entertaining destination and it’s our job to  provide that.”

Earlier this year the Atlantic Club Hotel and Casino, formerly the Hilton, closed its door.  The Revel and Showboat Casino shut down in the past week with the Trump Plaza set to close shortly.  On Friday it was revealed that the Taj Mahal was on the brink of entering into Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, though is not likely to close its doors in the foreseeable future.  That’s music to SCORES ears since they are located inside that casino property.
