The Boston Red Sox bookie will want to reduce losses this year by requesting a quote from an offshore Pay Per Head company that offers impulse options such as live in-play wagering and an online casino.

Heading into the series with the Seattle Mariners, the Red Sox were still fighting with Baltimore atop the AL East with a 37-28 record and one game out of the lead in this division.

The OVER was 8-0-1 in the last 9 meetings in Boston and 15-5-2 in the last 22 meetings.  In Boston, the last five games had gone into double digits.

The Red Sox Starting Pitchers:

Roenis Elias - (0-0, 16.20) - FRIDAY JUNE 17 - Elias is expected to be called up and start Friday's game against the Mariners, Tim Britton of the Providence Journal reports. (Tue Jun 14).  Elias has limited left-handed hitters to a collective .224 batting average in his career, a big reason why he earned the nod versus Seattle.

Rick Porcello - (7-2, 3.81) - SATURDAY JUNE 18 - Porcello has permitted four or more runs in three of his last four starts.  Two of those starts resulted in a total of 19 runs when all was said and done.  Another game ended with eight runs and another with eleven.

David Price - (7-4, 4.52) - SUNDAY JUNE 19 - Price (7-4) allowed three runs on five hits and struck out 11 over eight innings in a tough loss Tuesday to the Orioles. (Tue Jun 14).  He has not allowed more than 3 runs to be scored since May 7.
