We weren’t exactly thrilled by yesterday’s results as Roy Halladay of the Philadelphia Phillies was 9-2 when starting against New York with an ERA of 2.86 and a WHIP of 1.094 coming into last night’s game and failed miserably.

Likewise,

Kansas City was 0-10 against the money line in home games in April games over the last 2 seasons prior to last night’s game and managed to win.

Gambling911.com did come through on Pittsburgh.
Let’s take a look at today’s important trends.

Atlanta and K. Medlen starting against the Miami Marlins does have slight value with a money line of -170.  The price may be a little steep but Medlen has gone 15-1  against the money line against division opponents since 1997.  He is 13-3 against the money line in road games since 1997.

Miami is 3-17 against the money line as a home underdog of +125 to +150 over the last 3 seasons and they will be starting W. Leblanc, who is 0-2 against Atlanta.

With Atlanta 6-1 on the season so far, they do appear on the surface to be a “safe” bet in this situation despite the high price tag.

80 percent of the public backing was on Atlanta here.

L. Lynn of the St. Louis Cardinals is 13-1 against the money line against division opponents over the last 2 seasons.  Bronson Arroyo is 8-13 when starting against ST LOUIS with an ERA of 4.50 and a WHIP of 1.342.  The line on the Cards is -105.  They have not played well up to now so Gambling911.com would only recommend a small bet on St. Louis here.

Tampa Bay’s Roberto Hernandez is just 2-8 when starting against TEXAS with an ERA of 5.37 and a WHIP of 1.463.  Texas is -115 on the money line so definitely some value here

The Kansas City Royals do look good starting Jeremy Guthrie.  Check out these hot trends:

Royals are 7-0 in Guthrie’s last 7 home starts vs. a team with a winning record.

Royals are 4-0 in Guthrie’s last 4 starts during game 2 of a series.

Royals are 5-0 in Guthrie’s last 5 home starts with the total set at 7.0-8.5.

Royals are 7-0 in Guthrie’s last 7 home starts.

Royals are 6-0 in Guthrie’s last 6 starts with 4 days of rest.

Royals are 11-1 in Guthrie’s last 12 starts.

Royals are 11-1 in Guthrie’s last 12 starts on grass.

Royals are 10-1 in Guthrie’s last 11 starts vs. a team with a winning record.

Royals are 9-1 in Guthrie’s last 10 starts following a Quality Start in his last appearance.

Royals are 7-1 in Guthrie’s last 8 starts vs. American League Central.

Royals are 6-1 in Guthrie’s last 7 starts with the total set at 7.0-8.5.

Considering Kansas City is just -115 on the money line, there is value here.

The Twins are 1-6 in their last 7 games as a road underdog of +110 to +150.

Baseball News

Chris Paddack Player Prop Bets

Paddack recorded 10 strikeouts over seven shutout innings on Monday in a win over the White Sox. Prior to that start, Paddack was obliterated by the Orioles, allowing nine runs on 12 hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Zach Eflin Player Prop Bets

Zach Eflin has great value in fantasy leagues for the April 26 game against the lowly Chicago White Sox.  Betting on Eflin and the Tampa Bay Rays might make sense if not for the -210 price tag.

Trevor Williams Player Prop Bets

The Nats Trevor Williams held the Astros to one run with four strikeouts across six innings in a no-decision on Saturday.  And the betting public was eating him up at a near 80% clip.
