You can bet the Rangers-Rays series Saturday and Sunday.  Saturday’s game had the Rangers at -115, Rays at -105 and a total of  8.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Rangers RH A.J. Griffin (5-2, 4.68 ERA) vs. Rays RH Jake Odorizzi (7-5, 3.72)

Griffin struggled in his last outing, allowing 11 runs scored.  This was his second straight poor showing.  He is 1-0 with a 2.57 ERA in two career appearances against the Rays.

The Rangers are 5-1 in Griffin’s last 6 starts vs. American League East.

Odorizzi won his fourth straight decision last time out and permitted one run over 6 2/3 innings last season against Texas but did not receive a decision.

Texas has won the last five games in this series and seven of their last ten overall.

The Rays are 2-9 in their last 11 Saturday games and 0-4 in their last 4 vs. American League West.

Baseball News

Chris Paddack Player Prop Bets

Paddack recorded 10 strikeouts over seven shutout innings on Monday in a win over the White Sox. Prior to that start, Paddack was obliterated by the Orioles, allowing nine runs on 12 hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Zach Eflin Player Prop Bets

Zach Eflin has great value in fantasy leagues for the April 26 game against the lowly Chicago White Sox.  Betting on Eflin and the Tampa Bay Rays might make sense if not for the -210 price tag.

Trevor Williams Player Prop Bets

The Nats Trevor Williams held the Astros to one run with four strikeouts across six innings in a no-decision on Saturday.  And the betting public was eating him up at a near 80% clip.
