PITCHING MATCHUP: Orioles RH Ubaldo Jimenez (5-10, 6.94 ERA) vs. Nationals RH Max Scherzer (13-7, 3.05)

Jimenez has been solid in three interleague appearances – two starts – this season, going 2-0 with a 3.46 ERA.  He has allowed 14 hits off of 63 at bats versus the current Nats bats.

Scherzer split a pair of starts against Baltimore last season and is 2-1 with a 1.17 ERA in three starts against AL opponents in 2016.  He’s allowed 37 hits off of 151 at bats versus the current Baltimore roster with 8 home runs permitted over this time.

Adam Jones has hit three home runs off of Scherzer and was listed at 7-2 to do the same on Thursday night.

Baltimore has won the last six games in this series.

Baseball News

Chris Paddack Player Prop Bets

Paddack recorded 10 strikeouts over seven shutout innings on Monday in a win over the White Sox. Prior to that start, Paddack was obliterated by the Orioles, allowing nine runs on 12 hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Zach Eflin Player Prop Bets

Zach Eflin has great value in fantasy leagues for the April 26 game against the lowly Chicago White Sox.  Betting on Eflin and the Tampa Bay Rays might make sense if not for the -210 price tag.

Trevor Williams Player Prop Bets

The Nats Trevor Williams held the Astros to one run with four strikeouts across six innings in a no-decision on Saturday.  And the betting public was eating him up at a near 80% clip.
