You can bet the Brewers-Reds series Friday through Sunday where Cincinnati was a +147 home underdog Friday and Milwaukee a -137 visiting favorite.  This game featured a total of 9.  Saturday’s Game 2 had both sides at -105 with a total of 9.5.

Both clubs come into this game with losing records so betting on either side is out of the question.

In eight of the last ten games of this series, nine or more runs have been scored.

Jimmy Nelson, starting Saturday, has been clobbered by the Reds batters.  He’s allowed 31 hits in 107 at bats with six home runs scored.

That being said, Nelson (5-7) allowed two runs on six hits and four walks while striking out two over six innings, but received no decision Friday against the Cardinals.

He's now held opponents to three or fewer earned runs in each of his last four starts to lower his ERA to 3.62 on the year.  But he hasn’t had a win since May.

With this in mind, the 9.5 total is just too high for our tastes.

Chris Paddack Player Prop Bets

Paddack recorded 10 strikeouts over seven shutout innings on Monday in a win over the White Sox. Prior to that start, Paddack was obliterated by the Orioles, allowing nine runs on 12 hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Zach Eflin Player Prop Bets

Zach Eflin has great value in fantasy leagues for the April 26 game against the lowly Chicago White Sox.  Betting on Eflin and the Tampa Bay Rays might make sense if not for the -210 price tag.

Trevor Williams Player Prop Bets

The Nats Trevor Williams held the Astros to one run with four strikeouts across six innings in a no-decision on Saturday.  And the betting public was eating him up at a near 80% clip.
