The Astros are a -125 favorite in Game 1.  The A’s are a +115 underdog.  The total was coming in at 8.5.

Houston has won 6 of the last 8 games in this series but are 2-7 in the last 9 meetings in Oakland.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Astros RH Mike Fiers (6-3, 4.35 ERA) vs. Athletics RH Kendall Graveman (5-6, 4.37)

Fiers was held out of the decision at Oakland on April 29 despite scattering two runs and seven hits across seven innings.

Graveman was also ripped for five runs in 4 1/3 innings at Houston on June 4 and is 2-1 with a 5.24 ERA in four career starts against the Astros.

Graveman has allowed 22 hits in 76 at bats, including two home runs.

Baseball News

Chris Paddack Player Prop Bets

Paddack recorded 10 strikeouts over seven shutout innings on Monday in a win over the White Sox. Prior to that start, Paddack was obliterated by the Orioles, allowing nine runs on 12 hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Zach Eflin Player Prop Bets

Zach Eflin has great value in fantasy leagues for the April 26 game against the lowly Chicago White Sox.  Betting on Eflin and the Tampa Bay Rays might make sense if not for the -210 price tag.

Trevor Williams Player Prop Bets

The Nats Trevor Williams held the Astros to one run with four strikeouts across six innings in a no-decision on Saturday.  And the betting public was eating him up at a near 80% clip.
