Consensus Cappers Mostly Backing Army

Some 84% of picks were on Army in this one across the board.  Few of the G911 Sports Hub cappers offering plays on this game were particularly stellar when it comes to college football.  However, we will note that long time sports handicapper Ben Burns has been pretty hot with his college football plays of late.  He's on Army.

Line Movement and the Sagarin Number

BetOnline had dropped the number from a peak of -10 to -9.5 as of Saturday morning.  Bookmaker, on the other hand, moved from -9.5 to -10.  Bovada was off the -10 to -9.5.

AcePerHead Pay Per Head internal numbers (only available at Gambling911.com) were showing that some 87% of the action was on Army, so seeing Pinnacle drop the number to -9 makes us much more interested in Massachusetts here.  We will certainly want to explore that potential in our preview below.

Sagarin shows Army with a near 20 point spread potential but both these teams are pretty bad to be perfectly frank.

The Quick Take

Over the last two years, Army has devoured UMass.  The Minutemen have one win so far this season while the Black Knights enter with two victories. UMass is 3-5-1 Against The Spread while Army is 2-4-1 ATS.

Pete Futiak of College Football News offered this assessment: It’s simple. Army is 2-0 when it runs for 200 yards or more and 0-5 when it doesn’t. UMass allowed 223 yards per game.

Aiyuk-Deebo Trade Odds and ROY Shift

Xavier Worthy = Tyreek Hill 2.0?  Perhaps, and if that comes to fruition at any point in the future, the Bills only have themselves to blame.

J.J. McCarthy Drafted Number 3 Odds to Patriots

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?
