Penn State vs. Maryland Betting Picks

Penn State are a perfect 3-0 this season and have looked like a bit of an offensive juggernaut for a couple of those games. They reeled off a combined 124 points through the first two weeks of the season, but they were made to work a little harder in a 17-10 win over Pittsburgh in their last game. Can the offense get back on track on the road in Maryland?

There were some who were talking about the Terrapins as being a potential dark horse this season after a couple of impressive showings to start the year, the most impressive of which was a stunning 63-20 win over No. 21 Syracuse in Week 2. An upset loss to Temple has taken the shine off of those wins, with JAZZ Sports listing Maryland as a 6 ½ point home underdog on Friday night.*

The least 3 meetings between these teams have been blowouts in favor of the Nittany Lions, wo have won by an average of over 40 points in those meetings. This one figures to be a little closer, but we like the -6 ½ that JAZZ Sports is offering*. We are on Penn State to win and cover.

Notre Dame vs. Georgia

The No. 7 Notre Dame Fighting Irish will travel south to take on the Georgia Bulldogs in a primetime slot. These two teams recently paid a visit to the College Football Playoffs and have dreams of getting there again.

Georgia comes into this game with a perfect 3-0 season record, but it has not really seen a true challenged as of yet. The Bulldogs are ranked No. 3 in the country and that should definitely factor them into the SEC championship race this season.

Notre Dame is a perfect 2-0, and it has looked sharp as well. The Fighting Irish were tested a bit by Louisville in their season opener but were able to prevail.  Odds mega-market JAZZ Sports has the Georgia Bulldogs as 14-point favorites in this matchup.

Let’s face it! Both these teams KNOW how to score, but the key thing to understanding in this game -in betting terms- is Georgia’s defense. Notre Dame will try to their utmost to keep this one close, but the Bulldogs should be getting a huge resume-building win. Take the 14 points you are getting with Notre Dame; don’t suppose it’d hurt.
