Lay into this weekend’s NFL action with our two-team teaser — featuring the Arizona Cardinals at the Seattle Seahawks, and the Dallas Cowboys at the Kansas City Chiefs — two of the biggest games on the Week 11 card.

NFL betting odds have the Seahawks and Cowboys as 2½-point underdogs, which are ripe point spreads to use with a teaser.

Tease ‘Em Up

Six points is the most common value for a teaser. Like a parlay, a teaser is a multiple bet where each wager has to win in order to cash the bet. But with a teaser you get six points adjusted in your favor on the spread.

So instead of taking a team at +2½, you’d add points — giving +8½ as the point spread instead. By adding points and taking the point spread through the key numbers of three and seven, the teaser gives extra value to the bettor.

(The BetUS Sportsbook also offers three-point teasers, not often found at other books, which offers even better odds. Teasers can be purchased all the way up to nine points as well. But for our teaser this week, we’re sticking with the standard six-point variety.)

Arizona Cardinals vs Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks are 2½-point underdogs, so the expectation is a Cardinals win by either a field goal or a touchdown. Teasing the number to +8½ takes away two possible situations, and bettors should be confident backing the Seahawks with that point spread at home.

The Seahawks are 5-4 against the spread, and the underdog is 9-2-1 ATS in the last 12 meetings, which bodes well.

It was good to see Russell Wilson return from injury last week, and although they lost 17-0 to the Green Bay Packers, he was always going to need a week to find his best form.

Coach Pete Carroll thinks the refs had a part to play in their loss to Green Bay.

“They were such a big part of the game yesterday," he told ESPN. "They were a huge part of the game yesterday. So in an effort to try to make sure that we're really on the same page and we're working through it and we call the game together in a sense, you work at it during the course of the game

There is also a possibility Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray could sit out another game. Even if he does play, bettors can be confident with the Seahawks covering the enhanced spread in this situation.

Arizona is 5-0 ATS on the road, which is an impressive statistic. However, that doesn’t include teased lines. There is a strong possibility of the Cardinals covering the spread with a late field goal, but covering a 8½ spread with the roaring Lumen Field crowd against you is a different story.

NFL odds are in favor of the Seahawks and they’re the first leg of our Teaser of the Week.

Tease: Seattle Seahawks +8½

Dallas Cowboys vs Kansas City Chiefs

The marquee game of the week includes the resurgent Kansas City Chiefs against the 7-2 Dallas Cowboys. Momentum is with the Chiefs, who are the favorites to win. However, despite winning three consecutive games, facing a physical team like the Cowboys is a different story.

Most of the early money has come for the Chiefs, pushing them from an open as 1½-point chalk to the current 2½. Despite their struggles, the betting public still supports their efforts to right the ship in the second half of the season. However, writing off the Cowboys is a big mistake.

Without falling into the trap of believing this could be the year for Cowboys’ fans to celebrate, it looks like a good chance of happening. They are 8-1 ATS, so Dallas backers have been cleaning up, and now you’re getting 8½ points with which to work.

It’s a big head start for a team good enough to dominate the Chiefs in every aspect. Dak Prescott can match it with Patrick Mahomes, and the Cowboys are the much more physical team.

Prescott wasn’t even worried about getting injured when he ran for a late touchdown.

“I worry about it. We got to realize that at the end of the year what this is about is being standing,” team owner Jerry Jones told NFL.com.

The defensive numbers for the Cowboys rate better than Kansas City and the offensive numbers are also better. Dallas ranks tops in total yards and points scored — scoring almost five points more per game than Kansas City.

Everything points towards a close game that could be decided in the final two minutes. For that reason, we’re taking the teased NFL betting line of +8½. It’s a safe bet, as we can’t see the Cowboys getting blown away after beating the Falcons 43-3 last week.

Tease: Dallas Cowboys +8½

Pick: Seattle Seahawks +8½ and Dallas Cowboys +8½ (-120)
