PokerStars is not accessible in the state of Idaho, though it used to be.  The site now adheres to state interpretation that poker sites are not legally permitted to operate in Idaho. PokerStars had previously taken the stance that it was legally able to operate there since no law said otherwise and PokerStars was licensed in Gibraltar.  Other offshore poker sites still take that stance and are accessible to those living in the Gem State

PokerStars was forced out of the US market after being named in an indictment that charged its founder with money laundering in 2011.

The company has also wanted to obtain licenses in the critical US i-Gaming market.  It's certainly on the right track, having just joined forces with Fox Sports to offer the sports betting platform Fox Bet in states where such gambling is legal.  Idaho is not one of them currently.

Because poker requires substantial player pools in order to work, there are only a few dozen networks operating worldwide.  Most have opted to remain out of the US market.  A handful are accessible from within the US and rank among the top 10 in terms of worldwide traffic (i.e. Gambling911.com-endorsed Americas Cardroom).

Idaho does not have any land-based poker rooms.
