The Glaring Signs Are There Early

The line on this game has dropped from -3.5 to -2.5 favoring the Cougars.  Yet we were observing close to 80 percent of the spread action favoring Washington State at one of the larger recreational sportsbooks online.  Across the board, better than 70% of gamblers were backing the favorites here.

Some, but not all, of the sharp books were moving to -2.5.  Pinnacle and Bookmaker were both sitting at -2.5.

Sagarin has the Huskies as a slightly better team on a neutral court than Washington State.  But being played in Pullman, Sagarin indicates a line of -1.5 to -2 favoring the Cougars.

We're thinking Washington State can actually pull off a victory but fail to cover.  Remember, the Cougars have the best record Against the Spread in College Football (10-1).

Did we mention that Washington has won the last five in this series?  They have also won eight of the last ten versus the Cougars.
