Fans of Major League Baseball worried such an order would throw the season into further peril.  That's because Palm Beach County is the spring training home to four major league baseball teams including the defending World Champion Nationals.

Several sources in Major League Baseball have hinted that they hoped to have games back up and running by June 1.  That wouldn't be happening if spring training can only get underway at the earliest May 15.

But DeSantis admitted later in the day said he misspoke and really meant April 15.

The coronavirus pandemic, however, has continued to batter South Florida with some 1632 cases being reported in Miami Dade alone.  Sources close to Gambling911 advise that tests are taking in excess of 7 days to return results, though same day test kits are anticipated in the coming days.
