BetRankings.com placed Bet365.com as the number two most trafficked sports betting site in Europe.  Oddschecker.com this week said they were numero uno.  No matter which way you cut it, Bet365.com is faring mighty well in the world of online bookmakers, better than both Ladbrokes and William Hill, the number one and two biggest UK bookie firms, respectively.

Online Gambling Firms Centrebet, Playtech, William Hill Profits All Up

 

More good news for the online gambling sector as a number of top firms reported profit increases on Thursday:  Centrebet, Playtech and William Hill among them.

Following in the footsteps of strong financial numbers from Ireland’s online powerhouse Paddy Power, Centrebet out of Australia said its profits jumped a whopping 75 percent.

William Hill “Worst Ever Royal Ascot” Blamed for Poor Profit Margins

William Hill continues to hint at moving its telephone business offshore following dismal results over the past year compared to its online arm.

"Poor horse racing results" led to a 33% fall in net telephone revenue, with a statement from Hills explicitly pointing out: "The board has previously noted the challenge of competing with UK betting exchanges and Irish offshore telebetting operators, all of whom have benefited from significant tax and cost advantages over UK bookmakers. The situation is under active review."
