Poker phenom Phil Ivey has just won the 2012 Aussie Millions $250,000 Super High Roller event after getting knocked out of the Main event early morning Sunday. That turned out to be a blessing in disguise. The take home prize - A$2,000,000.
“I got pretty deep in the Main, I got close, luckily I got knocked out in time to play this. It worked out,” said Ivey following his win. “It’s nice to be playing poker again. I took some time off, just came back to Macau, started playing and this is one of my first tournaments back so it’s nice to get back to winning.”

PPA: Majority of Those Playing Poker Online Prefer Regulated Environment
Of the Americans still playing online poker, nearly 90 percent would prefer playing on sites licensed and regulated pursuant to U.S. Federal law, according to a recent survey commissioned by the Poker Players Alliance (PPA), the leading poker grassroots advocacy group with more than one million members nationwide. Hawaii the Latest State to Consider Legalizing Internet Poker
