$13 Million Prize Pool in Upcoming Poker Events at Seminole Hard Rock
HOLLYWOOD, Fla. - Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, has released its upcoming poker events through August 2016. The AAA Four Diamond-Rated resort will host five series that will pay out over $13 million in guaranteed prize pools. Signature events include the Seminole Hard Rock Lucky Hearts Poker Open (January), Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown (April) and Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open (July/Aug.) In addition to the signature line-up, a $1 Million Escalator Series (February) and Deep Stack Series (May) will be held.
'Mr. HPT' Wins Second Title and $153k
Mt. Pleasant, MI - Craig Casino has seen plenty of success with Heartland Poker Tour (HPT) since he won his first title over four years ago. He's won more money, been to more Final Tables, and cashed in more tournaments than any other player in HPT history. However, that second title has always eluded him. Until now. Alex Jacob Advances in ‘Jeopardy’ Tournament of Champions
Poker pro Alex Jacob was brought back on the television quiz show “Jeopardy” to take part in The Tournament of Champions this past Friday following an April run that earned him $151,802.
Now a Chicago currency trader, Jacob has advanced into this week’s semi-final founds.
The winner of the Tournament of Champions will receive a cool $250,000.
Jacob has earned just over $2.5 million in his live poker tournament career to date.

Day 5 Coverage of Battle of Malta 2015: Final Table Determined
It's the "final" day of Battle of Malta with a Final Table possibly decided as early as dinner time but more likely before midnight.
Depending on the time it is determined, there could be a final table played out on Monday as casino rules in Malta dictate closure at 5 am.
