HOLLYWOOD, Fla. - Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, has released its upcoming poker events through August 2016. The AAA Four Diamond-Rated resort will host five series that will pay out over $13 million in guaranteed prize pools. Signature events include the Seminole Hard Rock Lucky Hearts Poker Open (January), Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown (April) and Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open (July/Aug.) In addition to the signature line-up, a $1 Million Escalator Series (February) and Deep Stack Series (May) will be held.
The Seminole Hard Rock Lucky Hearts Poker Open (LHPO) will take place Jan. 7 – 20, with a live streamed $1,100 buy-in WPT® DeepStacks Main Event carrying a $1 million guarantee.
During the month of February, the $1 Million Escalator Series will feature four tournaments throughout the month with increasing guarantees each week. Guarantees will start at $100,000 with a $400,000 guarantee Feb. 25 - 28. Each week all final table players will be awarded entries into the Escalator event the following week, in addition to winning the prize money.
Featuring a live-streamed WPT Main Event with a $3,500 buy-in and $3 million guarantee, the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown will run March 31 – April 23. A Showdown series highlight event and historic addition of the season-ending WPT Tournament of Champions, the WPT Tournament of Champions will be reserved for Season XIV champions and WPT Champions Club™ members only. The winner of the $15,400 buy-in event will be crowned the “champion of champions,” cementing his or her legacy on the World Poker Tour.
From May 19 – 30, the Deep Stack Series will showcase six events with over $600,000 in guaranteed prize pools including a $1,650 buy-in Championship carrying a $300,000 guarantee from May 26 – 30.
The Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open (SHRPO) debuted in 2013 carrying a historic $10 million guarantee. Now entering its fourth year, SHRPO continues to offer players unique opportunities to win big. The series will run from July 28 – Aug. 16 with the return of the Big Four, a four-event finale concept recently introduced by Seminole Hard Rock during the 2015 series. The Big Four includes a single-entry, $5,250 buy-in, $5 million guarantee championship (Aug. 13-16); a $2,650 No Limit Hold’em, $1 million guarantee (Aug. 14 -16), a $25,400 High Roller, $1 million guarantee (Aug.15 -16); and a $1,100 No Limit Hold’em re-entry, $500,000 guarantee (Aug. 15 -16).
