Anti-Gambling Mormons Hit Vegas

Las Vegas may not be at the top of the list of weekend getaways or vacation hot spots for BYU fans, but throw in a football bowl game and get out of the way.

The Cougars will play today in their fifth consecutive bowl game at Sam Boyd Stadium - this one called the Maaco Bowl - and their fans may add another notch to their own championship belt: In the 18-year history of the bowl game, BYU followers have contributed to the four most profitable ones. New Mexico Bowl - Fresno State vs. Wyoming Odds

New Mexico Bowl
Fresno State vs. Wyoming
Saturday, 4:30 pm Eastern - ESPN

Fresno State is heavily favored in the college football betting New Mexico Bowl on Saturday against a Wyoming team that finished the season at 6-6. Fresno was 8-4 overall this season and features a powerful offense led by running back Ryan Mathews who led the nation in rushing at 151.3 yards per game.  That does not bode well for Wyoming since they allowed more than 170 yards per game on the ground this season.

BCS Selection Show: What Time Does It Air?

The BCS Selection Show will air Sunday (December 6, 2009) at 8 pm Eastern Standard Time on Fox.

Penn State fans will be very interested to see if their beloved Nittany Lions get the call over Iowa.  And that's about it as most people simply yearn for a Playoffs type system with College Football.  The BCS Selection Show does not have any of the hoopla that surrounds the very highly anticipated NCAA Basketball Selection Show.  Nevertheless, the BCS College Bowl betting season is among the most profitable for the online sportsbooks.
