A bill was introduced Monday that would allow betting on future US Presidential races in the state of Nevada.

SB418 was introduced by the Senate Judiciary Committee and would permit pari-mutuel wagering on elections for president, U.S. Senate and the House of Representatives.

State Democrat Judiciary Chairman Tick Segerblom is backing the legislation and insists Nevada starts thinking "outside the box."

The US Presidential race is the single most wagered on nonsporting event online where such betting has long been allowed.  European bookmakers also offer such wagering.
