WSOP Vulture Cam

One of the terms we’ll be hearing from time to time during the 2010 World Series of Poker (WSOP) main event is the dreaded “Vulture Cam”. Essentially, that is when the ESPN cameras swoop down on big name players who are about to bust in an effort to get their reaction. Poker legend Doyle Brunson compared the vulture cam to that of the Grim Reaper. “Sick feeling to see him standing there,” Brunson tweeted after his elimination this week. “The "vulture cam" has an upset stomach. He ate a peice of old meat (me).” It is something akin to a torturous climax. Daniel Negreanu nursed a short stack for most of Day 3, and the media was omnipresent at his table, watching his every move, Casino City reported. After he opened with a raise from the button, ESPN's camera crews rushed over to get the hand on tape. "The vultures are back," said Negreanu after the blinds had folded. ESPN’s coverage of the 2010 WSOP won’t air until after the final 9 players have been determined. ESPN will air the final table “practically live” albeit with a delay of sorts. Fans won’t have to wait weeks though. Patrick Flanagan, Gambling911.com
