Viktor Blom, Isildur1

Swedish online poker sensation Viktor Blom has had his name searched on average 22,000 times this past month.  Isildur1, Blom’s Internet alias, has had nearly double the amount of searches at 40,500.  There are also variations and combos, along with a fair share of misspellings of his name, that receive a couple hundred to a few thousand searches per month.

By comparison, fellow Scandinavian Patrik Antonius received 14,800 with the “Patrick” misspelling thrown in.  Granted, the popular poker player does get lumped in with a lot of searches for his last name only.  But searches for “Antonius” also turn up basket inserts at the furniture superstore IKEA.

Blom’s popularity will continue to increase if he keeps up his current streak.  So far this summer, Isildur1 is up $4 million.
