The Poker Hall of Fame finalists were announced Tuesday in Vegas and, as many expected, Phil Ivey is among those listed.

Ivey, though still in his 20's, is considered among the top 5 poker players on the circuit today, if not the best.  He is among the finalists at this year's World Series of Poker.

Joining Ivey is Daniel Negreanu, the popular Canadian who has enjoyed great success in recent years at various WSOP events.

A panel of 15 living Hall of Fame members and 15 media members will cast votes by Oct. 2 to decide which two finalists will join the prestigious club at an induction ceremony on Nov. 7 at the Rio.

The eligible candidates are:

Barry Greenstein

Dan Harrington

Phil Ivey (on the 2009 WSOP Main Event final table)

Tom McEvoy

Men Nguyen

Scotty Nguyen

Daniel Negreanu

Erik Seidel

Mike Sexton
