The world record holder for more World Series of Poker bracelets was knocked out of the main event in just a matter of hours.

As rumored, Phil made his own statement dressed as an MMA fighter, with the legendary fight announcer Bruce Buffer doing the honors of intro'ing him to the stage.

But in the end, Hellmuth was KO'd.

"Out! Still feel calm (not freaking out); did autographs + pics 4 45 mins str8 after busting. 2010 WSOP: played great, cards were not great," Hellmuth announced on his Twitter page shortly after 10 pm PST.

Hellmuth can't be feeling too bad as he will be taking home around $100,000 from various other WSOP events.  He was already up $250,000 on the year coming into the WSOP.
