Marvin Rettenmaier Enjoys Comfortable Lead at 2012 World Poker Tour Championship

Poker pro Marvin Rettenmaier had 6,715,000 chips to lead at this year’s World Poker Tour Championship.  His count was 2-and-a-half times greater than that of the second biggest chip leader, Michael Mizrachi.

Nick Schulman is looking for his second WPT title on Saturday, while Steve O'Dwyer will making his third WPT final table appearance. Trevor Pope and short stack Philippe Ktorza round out the lineup for the final WPT event of the year.

With the Super High Roller final table being taped on Friday, the 2012 WPT Championships final table will be off for the day Friday. 

The World Championship final table will get underway at 4pm PT on Saturday. Live streaming of the event, complete with hole cards and commentary from Tony Dunst and Dan O'Brien begins at 4:30pm.

Here are the chip counts for the final six players in the 2012 WPT Championship.

  1. Marvin Rettenmaier – 6,715,000
  2. Michael Mizrachi – 2,560,000
  3. Steve O’Dwyer – 2,035,000
  4. Nick Schulman – 1,555,000
  5. Trevor Pope – 1,480,000
