Should Daniel Negreanu win this weekend’s EPT Vienna poker tournament event, he will once again sit atop the all-time poker tournament money list.

Negreanu comes into Saturday’s play among the remaining 24 players at this year’s EPT Vienna.  He had been leading but was knocked into second place.

A win by Negreanu would pay €700,000.  His all time live tournament winnings to date (not including online winnings) registers at $12,583,677, just behind Phil Ivey.

Negreanu’s attendance at this event has shifted attention away from a high profile feud he had this past week with Andrew Robl whereby Negreanu clashed on a TV poker program over Robl’s reluctance to make straddle bets and his delayed decision making during the game.  Negreanu, to his credit, has since apologized.

The EPT Vienna poker tournament became Austria’s biggest tournament event ever this week incidentally.
