A Dozen Players to Receive $3,500 packages for Latin Series of Poker

If you thought last Sunday's $200,000 Guarantee at Americas Cardroom was big, get ready for another whopper of a tournament. On Sunday, April 14th at 6pm ET, Americas Cardroom is holding a 12-package guaranteed tournament for the Latin Series of Poker. The event costs just $50+5 to get into and awards at least 12 packages for the LSOP Main Event. The land-based tournament runs from May 20th through 25th in Lima, Peru at Casino Atlantic City.

"We expect to overshadow the 72 players we sent to the tournament last year in a big way. With this Sunday's 12-package guarantee, that should be pretty easy."

Americas Cardroom is guaranteeing 12 Latin Series of Poker prize packages on Sunday, April 14th at 6:00pm ET through a $50+5 Texas Hold'em tournament. Each package includes: the $1,500+150 buy-in for the $500,000 3-day Main Event; 6-night hotel accommodation with breakfast and Wi-Fi access; airport-hotel-airport ground transportation in Lima; a player's welcome gift bag; exclusive access to the welcome party; and a direct connection to a 24/7 VIP helpline.

Players who are unable to play on Sunday should take note of additional weekly guaranteed events. Americas Cardroom is holding 1-package guarantees on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 7:30pm ET.

The first annual Latin Series of Poker took place in June 2012 at Casino Atlantic City in Lima, Peru. Canadian poker player Michael "The Punter" Nugent took the first place prize of $157,520 US, outlasting a field of 451 players. The total prize pool of $678,000 in 2012 eclipsed the $500,000 that had been guaranteed.

Qualifiers for this Sunday's $50+5 12-package Guarantee and the Wednesday and Saturday events are now live at Americas Cardroom and start from as low as $0.50.
