Talk about some pretty ridiculous odds.  Poker pro Daniel Negreanu saw a "sure thing" and decided to place his bet despite the outrageous risk.

The "sure thing" in question was a prop bet on Negreanu himself at 1/100 odds.

From Cake Poker: "He sent out a tweet saying: ‘Got 75,700 on dinner break. Got no mental strength to play high end poker today...' An hour later, though, he'd come up with a plan to get his head back in the game - an insane prop bet with a fellow pro. Again, accoring to his Twitter update: ‘I just laid 100-1 with Kathy Liebert that I will make day 2 of this event. She bet 100 bucks. I'd lose 10K. I know it's a bad bet I don't care!'

Tired or not, he was nearly knocked out of the tournament by the end of Day One even though he had a pretty good stack of chips early on at the time the bet was made.
