Just in time for the WSOP, UB.com has made a bold statement with its roster of online pros by re-signing one of its top performers. With over $3.6 million in tournament winnings to his name and a Top 100 All-Time Money List ranking, Brandon Cantu has renewed his contract with Team UB, a sign that UB.com continues to see incredible value in its pro lineup, and that the world's top pros want to be a part of the leading online poker site. Cantu will continue to wear UB.com's iconic logo at major events alongside Phil Hellmuth, Annie Duke, Joe Sebok and a number of other respected poker professionals.

Cantu originally signed on with UB.com in late May 2009 after a number of impressive online poker and Vegas performances had peaked the interested of a number of cardrooms.

Since signing with UB, Cantu has consistently performed exceptionally well at all the majors. At the 2009 World Series of Poker, the Team UB pro won Event #48, a $1,500 Pot Limit Omaha 8 or Better event, besting a field of 762 players to take home $228,867. At the WSOP, Cantu has amassed ten top 10 finishes, made four final tables, and collected two bracelets.

Just a few months ago, Cantu took the top spot in Event #17 of the 2010 Wynn Classic, a No Limit Hold'em Championship tournament and the final event of the series that kicked off on March 24th at the Wynn Las Vegas. Cantu walked away with $363,844 after conquering a field of 262 players. The $5,000+160 buy-in poker tournament featured a total prize pool of $1,173,700.

"I am very pleased to extend my relationship with UB," stated Brandon Cantu. "I have appreciated the commitment UB has shown me over the last year and I look forward to a longstanding relationship with them. I hope to be able to not only play for UB at a high level but also contribute to making UB an amazing place to play poker for the entire community."

Brandon Cantu will be representing UB.com at this year's World Series of Poker in Las Vegas and at a number of other land-based poker events. Online poker players at UB.com can employ the online poker site's free UltimateBuddy feature to discover where Brandon Cantu is seated and join him at the tables.
