2010 WSOP

With another 15 players to be eliminated before play stops Friday evening at the 2010 WSOP, there was quite the battle of nations during the 7 pm PST hour shaping up.

Canada, while not represented among the top 3 at press time, was the only nation to have more than one player among the top 6.  The United States, Denmark and Sweden battled it out among the top 3.

Italy’s Filippo Candio rounded out the top 6 while the remaining top ten chip leaders all came from the US.

A relative unknown in the poker world, Joseph Cheong of La Marinda, California, sat atop the leader board but as this was going to press he crashed severely down -12,900,000 and was on the verge of being eliminated.

That move placed Jorgensen back atop the leader board and the Canadians each moved up one notch.
