British poker players are making out quite well at the 2010 World Series of Poker (WSOP).

Victoria Coren of the Guardian reports:

Just a week in, and already Praz Bansi has won his second bracelet (this year in the $1,500 No Limit Holdem). There was also a bracelet in the $1,500 Pot Limit Holdem for James Dempsey (who, despite his redoubtable poker skills, has never previously won a live tournament outside Brighton), and a silver medal in the $5,000 Holdem Shootout for Neil Channing, popular MD of new poker website BlackBeltPoker.com.

Meanwhile, a nonBrit Yan Chen just took one of the more recent bracelets.

Chen won Event 14, the $1,500 2-7 Draw Lowball tournament and, not only takes home a bracelet, he also goes home with $92,817.
