Chris Moorman Nears Top Spot in Online Poker Power Rankings

To anyone who's been following online poker tournaments, Chris Moorman's recent achievement should come as no surprise. The Brunson 10 pro has moved into the #2 spot of BluffMagazine.com's Power Rankings. Helping him slide into one of the top spots were the over 20,000 points he effortlessly racked up in the last two weeks.

 

Moorman's most recent major win happened last month when he took down the Sunday Brawl to win over $109,000. In the first three months of 2010, not including his $100k win, Moorman has won nearly $90,000 in a variety of online poker tournaments.

 

Moorman has a strong history of capturing top 5 finishes in industry rankings. In early January, The Brunson 10 member was ranked #1 worldwide on PocketFives.com's list of online poker tournament players. Last year, Moorman was ranked fourth in Bluff's Online Player of the Year Leaderboard rankings.

His online poker tournament wins in 2009 include $28,000 in a $65k Guarantee in February, $88,166 in a Daily $100 Rebuy in February, $39,750 in a $150k Guarantee in March, and $52,950 in a Daily $100 Rebuy in September.


Chris Moorman joined The Brunson 10 in September 2009 as the fourth member of Doyle Brunson's team of elite pros. Moorman's over $1.9 million in lifetime winnings include 10 career titles and 159 cashes, made up of online poker successes and several land-based poker achievements.
