Online Poker Player of the Year Signs With Doyles Room

Doyle Brunson (see website here) has scooped up another online poker giant. Steve Gross has signed with the legend's team of elite pros known as The Brunson 10. The unstoppable force known across the web as "gboro780" has won nearly $3 million playing online poker and has proven that he's an online legend by strongly defending his 2009 Player of the Year title.

Stated Doyle Brunson, "Steve's record speaks for itself. Player of the year in 2009, on his way to another one this year, the kid is unbelievable."

In 2009, Gross finished atop CardPlayer's Online Poker Player of the Year rankings after accumulating 10,188 OPOY points thanks to over $1.2 million in qualifying winnings. Gross is on his way to earning back-to-back titles. The online poker player is currently ranked #1 on CardPlayer's Online Poker Player of the Year rankings. He's also the #1 ranked player on PocketFives.com, a popular online poker forum.

So far this year, Gross has finished first in five major online poker tournaments. His most recent win came just three days ago in a $100 Rebuy tournament in which he won $85,921.

Interestingly enough, Gross isn't the only Brunson 10 member to have earned the Online Player of the Year title. In 2008, Alex Kamberis of The Brunson 10 ranked first. Last year, Chris Moorman of Doyle Brunson's team of pros finished fourth.
