A number of P Diddy betting markets were being offered immediately following news months back that the famous recording artist and producer was reportedly under a criminal investigation.

Federal agents from Homeland Security Investigators and other law enforcement raided P. Diddy (real name Sean Combs) homes in Miami and Los Angeles on March 25.  Officials said the searches were connected to an investigation by federal authorities in New York, each of which is tied to a sex trafficking probe.

BetUS and other popular online gambling websites began offering bets on P Diddy's future.

On Monday September 16, we were learning of P. Diddy's arrest.

"Earlier this evening, federal agents arrested Sean Combs, based on a sealed indictment filed by the SDNY," United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York Damian Williams said in a statement. "We expect to move to unseal the indictment in the morning and will have more to say at that time."

A federal grand jury in Manhattan returned an indictment against Combs, which set in motion his arrest, sources told ABC News.

The charges remain sealed.

Combs' lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, addressed the news in a statement, calling it "an unjust prosecution."
