Polymarket on Saturday began offering odds on whether the police apologize to golf's world No. 1, Scottie Scheffler, on Monday following his arrest and booking just hours before he was set to play in Friday's PGA Championship Round 2.  Scheffler sat among the top 15 leaderboard.

Shocking images show Scheffler handcuffed and taken to jail for not following police orders after a pedestrian fatality investigation.  Police say an unidentified individual had been struck by a bus on the only road that leads to Valhalla Golf Club, in Louisville, Ky., just after 6 a.m. Friday.  Traffic was backed up for approximately a mile.

He was ultimately charged with second-degree assault of a police officer, third-degree criminal mischief, reckless driving and disregarding traffic signals from an officer directing traffic but later released just minutes before he was slated to begin play on Friday.

Despite the chaotic circumstances, Scheffler was able to stay in contention throughout the day on Friday with his odds even slashed in immediately following news of his arrest.

Detective Bryan Gillis of the Louisville Metro Police had been directing tournament traffic into Gate 1 and was the arresting officer.

Gillis recounted what he said transpired. The officer says he stopped Scheffler and attempted to give him instructions, but that Scheffler “refused to comply and accelerated forward, dragging [him] to the ground.”

Scheffler's account is that he had been “proceeding as directed by police officers.” He added: “There was a big misunderstanding of what I thought I was being asked to do. I never intended to disregard any of the instructions.”

The odds of the Louisville Police apologizing to Scottie Scheffler by Monday morning were set at a 1 percent chance at polymarket.  In other words you have better odds of getting struck by lightning twice

Polymarket does not take bets from U.S. residents.
