At -450 odds, the Democrats winning the college electoral in Iowa hasn't changed much but the polls suggest that the state is very much in the hands of Democratic Presidential hopeful Barack Obama.
A new CNN-Time poll shows Iowans favor Obama, 55 to 40 percent. Iowa had been considered a crucial swing state prior to the conventions.
This poll was conducted from August 31st through September 2nd, a time after the completion of the Democratic National Convention, and after McCain's pick of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his VP and prior to Palin's highly acclaimed speech on Wednesday night.
Obama's running mate, Senator Joe Biden, will be arriving in Iowa on Monday in order to try and solidify the Democratic lead.
The Obama campaign announced the trip on Thursday, saying Biden will hold an event in Des Moines. The campaign says additional details will be released soon.
