Gambling911.com Senior International Correspondent Jenny Woo wasn't too thrilled to read Thomas Somach's latest piece about record World Series of Poker bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth.
Somach railed Hellmuth's appearance in ESPN The Magazine where he appears playing poker nude with a few of his follow pros.
The issue features sports (and poker) players in the buff. Most people consider poker a sport.
Somach writes:
"Why anyone would think an ugly and overweight Hellmuth-complete with unsightly "moobs" or man boobs--should be naked in a magazine, however, is a question that will likely long remain unanswered."
Woo though had ranked Hellmuth among her Sexiest Poker Players of 2009.
"Maybe Tom is jealous because he doesn't have fabulous man boobs like Phil," Ms. Woo interjected.
Woo wrote of Hellmuth earlier this year when describing his sex appeal:
"What makes Phil Hellmuth sexy is his self-confidence and brash disposition. I know he's a really nice guy....away from the tables. At least egotistical people do not talk about others either....They just shout at them."
But Jenny admits there is something missing from the Nude Poker issue of ESPN The Magazine.
"That would be the sexiest poker player alive, Doyle Brunson," she said. "I'd like to see him naked wearing only that cowboy hat."
Brunson was voted Woo's Sexiest Poker Player of 2009, and most Gambling911.com readers agree.
Patrik Antonius was also rated high.
"Yes I'd like to see him naked. Who wouldn't?"
