Carrie Stroup here for Gambling911.com with your Evan Bayh Vice President odds update.  Will Bayh be Barack Obama's running mate?

Just two weeks ago Evan Bayh was the 7/5 favorite to become Senator Barack Obama's running mate. Bayh's Vice President odds were set at 4/1 just prior to this at Sportsbook.com.

And no doubt he was an even bigger long shot the days running up to Obama's decision.

Some little known facts about Bayh courtesy of The Indianapolis Star:

His election came during a crackdown on drunken driving, and Bayh banned hard liquor from public events at the governor's residence, and later banned beer and wine as well.

He's also a proven winner: He was re-elected governor November 1992 by more than half a million votes over the No.2 finisher - the largest margin of any governor in modern state history. Running for Senate in 1998, he won with 64 percent of the vote for the largest victory margin by a Democrat in a U.S. Senate race in Indiana.

Some of the important issues and where Bayh stands courtesy of KMBC-TV Kansas City:

Abortion: Bayh has voted in favor of banning late-term abortions except where the mother's health is concerned, but has opposed many other restrictions on abortion. He supports Roe V. Wade.

Guns: Bayh has voted against prohibiting lawsuits against gun manufacturers, in favor of background checks at gun shows and against loosening license and background checks at gun shows.

Taxes And Economy: Bayh voted against making President George W. Bush's tax cuts permanent, and in favor of increasing the tax rate for people earning over $1 million a year. He voted against repealing the alternative minimum tax and against raising the estate tax exemption to $5 million from $1 million. He introduced legislation in 2003 expand Small Business Administration loans to small manufacturers.

Iraq: Bayh was one of the original 2002 co-sponsors of the joint resolution in Congress supporting President George W. Bush and authorizing the war with Iraq. He later was a critic of the war's prosecution and management.
