Britain's Got Talent sensation Susan Doyle has reportedly turned down a date with US President Barack Obama according to News of the World.

American TV networks all fell over themselves to give her a special invitation to the prestigious annual Correspondents Dinner which took place in Washington DC last night, according to the London tabloid. President Obama was guest of honour for the event.

Doyle was invited to attend and rub shoulders with Obama.

From the News of the World:

"She was shocked and thrilled by the invite - but it was all too much too soon for her so she said No." "She has been told President Obama has seen clips of her on TV and loved her singing. And she is delighted.

"But instead she'll have no doubt stayed in with her cat Pebbles, washed her hair and watched Britain's Got Talent on telly.

"She knows she would have been incredibly nervous if she'd gone," said the source. "But her dream is to sing for President Obama one day.

"She loves him and thinks he is already a terrific president."

Susan Boyle was listed as a 4/6 favorite at William Hill

"That is actually some great value all things considered," says Alistair Prescott, who covers the European gambling scene for Gambling911.com.  "A few weeks ago there were some who would have considered her a virtual ‘lock'."

The next shortest odds went to 17-year old Shaun Smith, who was listed at 11/2 odds
