Betting Baseball – The Hot Sheet: April 18

We here at Gambling911.com have been getting slaughtered in recent days following last year’s terrific run.  Hopefully today’s plays will signal a turn-around.  “Betting Baseball – The Hot Sheet” is a daily free picks column appearing on the Gambling911.com website so be sure to bookmark us and check out the daily Baseball picks here.

BetOnline

We will be on Tampa Bay at -123 as the visiting favourite in Baltimore.  The Rays send David Price to the mound.  In six career starts at Baltimore's Camden Yards, Price has three wins, four quality starts, a 2.54 ERA and a 1.15 WHIP, with current Orioles a combined .230/.276/.326 hitting against him with a 26 percent strikeout rate.

Tampa Bay is a bit of a scary play as they have lost 7 of their last 9 games.  Baltimore has only won 4 of their last 10 however.  The Orioles are also 10-4 in Miguel Gonzalez’s last 14 starts.  But this is all about David Price and there is definitely some value at -123 at BetOnline.

We also like the red hot Red Sox, who have won 5 straight.  They will start John Lester, who is 5-1 when starting against Cleveland with an ERA of 3.34 and a WHIP of 1.191.  What caught our attention is that Boston is just a -125 favorite here.  The public is backing Boston heavy here.

The Red Sox have won the last three in this series and four of the last five games.  They are 5-0 in their last 5 road games vs. a right-handed starter.

The Indians are 3-8 in Zach McAllister.s last 11 starts.
