Professional poker player Phil Galfond has sued former business partner William F. Murphy of Austin, Texas claiming he failed to pay him his fair share of profits from their “immensely successful” poker website, Bluefirepoker.com.

In 2008, the two started the poker training site, adding 150 coaching videos along with hundreds of blog entries.

Galfond, who has one World Series of Poker bracelet under his belt, claims he was to have received one-third of the profits from the site and an ownership of up to 38.33 percent after vesting.

"Blue Fire has been immensely successful, having thousands of members who pay an initial enrollment fee of $100 in addition to a subscription fee of $30 per month," the complaint states.

While Galfond does disclose that Murphy paid approximately $400,000 in profit during a two-year period, he states that there were no accounting records or tax returns provided.

"Upon information and belief, the defendant Murphy has misappropriated and converted to his own use and possession the assets of MGH," the complaint states.
