A brawl between poker pros Matt Marafioti and Jonathan Aguiar at the famed Bicycle Casino Friday afternoon could result in a lifetime ban for Aguiar, according to witness David “Doc” Sands.

The player tweeted

Sounds like the floor staff is discussing an ADZ lifetime ban. That's all the info I have for now - sorry boys and girls.

Docs downplayed the fight and details were not immediately clear.  Earlier accounts suggest that Matt Marafioti “assaulted” Aguiar in front of the entire room.

Aguiar himself tweeted within the hour that Marafioti required a bodyguard to take on his rival.

It was not a fight, Matt stood 4 feet in front of his bodyguard, started yelling at me, then tried unnecessarily to shove me to the floor

How is anyone surprised I didn't "fight back"?

A Twitter confrontation between Aguiar and World Series of Poker Twitter administrator Seth Palansky resulted in the later individual’s suspension from covering the WSOP event.

Marifioti has been a lightning rod of criticism of late for his alleged involvement in an “online poker account hacking” plot.  He has continued to deny the allegations.
