It’s always exciting as the World Series of Poker Main Event dwindles down to determine the “Last Woman Standing”.

Women have not had much luck in the WSOP’s illustrious history but this year we have Frenchwoman Gaelle Baumann, who, with only 58 players remaining, was among the top 20.  Day 6 was expected to conclude with 27 players remaining going into Day 7 Monday.

Earlier in the day, Vanessa Selbst had been eliminated in 73rd place.

Eliminated in 69th place for $106,056 is Jason Somerville, who had quite the run. Four WSOP bracelet winners were still among the remaining at this year’s Main Event.
